Hello, I am new to this forum - I hope I'll get a reply as there seem to be no new posts for a while. I recently built a solar cooker and it isnt performing as well as I hoped - its getting hot but not enough to cook - so I'm looking at all the factors to make it better. First thing I want to know is if I'm using the right pot. I tried with stainless steel pot blackened with the cooking fire (I didnt paint the lid).I've never heard stainless steel mentioned for solar cooking so I'd like to here peoples experience if that works. If not what is best? I also tried a clear glass jar and I think that did get hotter but I still dont think it was hot enough to cook. |
